Derrick C. Brown is one of America’s most beloved and well-traveled performing page poets. He is a former paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne and is the president of Write Bloody Publishing, which Forbes and Filter Magazine call one of “...the best independent presses in the country."

His poem “A Finger, Two Dots, Then Me” was set to video by the Holechek Brothers and has since been chosen for fifty five official selections and film festival awards. He has performed as an author with bands such as The Flaming Lips, The Decemberists, Cold War Kids, and Delta Spirit, as well as with comedian David Cross. He is one of the few poets to perform on The Tonight Show, at La Sorbonne, and at the Glastonbury Festival.
