Like her heroine, Police Chief Jo Oliver, Dr. Catherine Finger is committed to protect and serve, but instead of using handcuffs and handguns, she uses her wit and wisdom as the superintendent of Grayslake Community High School District 127. She also enjoys working on a variety of volunteer projects and organizations, including The Oasis of Grayslake, where she serves as chairwoman of the annual Dead Last 5K Zombie Run! in October.
Catherine is passionate about sharing her faith through her fiction. Shattered By Death, the second installment in her Jo Oliver Thriller series, won the Grand Prize in the 6th Annual Deep River Books Writer's Contest and is set to be released on June 7, 2016. The second edition of her debut novel, Cleansed By Death, releases on April 5, 2016.
When she’s not working or writing, Catherine enjoys spending time at her church in Round Lake.
